Three cleaning ladies start up a telephone sex line!

Whenthree cleaners, Olive, Gladys and Elsie, are threatened with redundancy they feel that their lives are coming to an end until a chance wrong number gives them a new business start-up idea – why not run a telephone sex line?

They’ve got motive, opportunity and a lifetime of experience – some more than others, mind you.

Kes follows the story of Billy, a 15 year old boy who comes from a dysfunctional working-class family, who is not expected to have much of a future. A no-hoper, bullied at school and ignored and abused at home by his indifferent mother and older brother. Having spotted a nest in a neighboring farmer's field, he tames and trains his pet kestrel falcon, whom he names Kes. Helped and encouraged by his English teacher Mr. Farthing and his fellow students, Billy finally finds a positive purpose to his unhappy existence, until tragedy strikes.

When Hugo and Alice return from their honeymoon and Alice finds she is putting on weight; she turns to Geraldine for advice. After coping with the village quiz and organizing the week of Radio Dibley, Geraldine is stunned when Alice actually has a good idea – why not put on a Nativity play? Why not indeed, what can possibly go wrong?
